Beira Lake cleaning donation in conjunction with the “Clean Sri Lanka” program
The opening event of the shramadana to clean-up the Beira Lake in Colombo 7 was held at the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya temple in accordance with the islandwide ‘Clean Sri Lanka” initiative envisioned by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The program was conducted under the leadership of Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof, with the participation of National People’s Power Member of Parliament Lakshman Nipuna Arachchi, NPP National Executive Committee Member Vrai Cally Balthazaar, and other distinguished guests.
The attendants were blessed by the maha sangha of the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya temple. During the event, Governor Yusoof presented certificates to the attending Police officers, officials from the Urban Development Authority and others.
