Governor of the Western Province Hanif Yusoof visited the iconic Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo and engaged in an inspection tour of the site.

 

Viharamahadevi Park, a historic landmark with 144 years of heritage, remains one of the most respected green spaces in the capital. Spanning nearly 50 acres, this park offers visitors a serene and scenic environment.

 

The primary goal of the tour was to enhance the park’s maintenance processes and improve the facilities available to visitors. It was also aimed at identifying ways to enhance the Park’s beauty, reconstruct the ‘Sathutu Uyana’ Childrens’ play area, and create a litter-free area within the Park premises.
