On the occasion of World Children’s Day (2023.10.05) “Give Way to Dreams” art and street drama exhibition to reveal the creative talents of children in residential care in the Western Province Child Development Centers and to plan the future prospects of the childrens Probation and Child Care Services Organized by the Department.

The ceremony was presided over by the Governor of the Western Province, Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Goonetileke, the Provincial President of the Western Province, Mr. Sunil Wijeratne, the Chief Secretary of the Western Province, Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, the Secretary to the Governor, Mr. P Somasiri, as well as the Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Local Medicine, Social Welfare, Probation and Child Care, Women’s Affairs, K. A participation was held by Mr. Gamini Dharmasena. Also, the Deputy Chief Secretaries of the Province, Heads of Departments and Department Officers and Heads of Child Development Center’s in the Western Province and children were present at this exhibition.
